In 1993 Dave Cole incorporated Specialty Data Systems Inc. to build innovative software that would improve the management and operations of broadcast companies on a day-to-day basis. 

The original SDS product, SDS Proposal, was the first Windows-based sales proposal system written for television networks. Since then, Dave and Specialty Data Systems Inc. have continued to invent new broadcasting applications.  Today its flagship package SDS Symphony, effectively operates and manages everything in one unfied system: Programming, Sales, Traffic, Billing, and AR.

SDS is a proven performer, having installations that range from single market stations up to large station groups that span the continent.
