Dave Cole, CEO of Specialty Data Systems Inc., founded the company in 1979 with an extensive background in technology and broadcasting.  With this in-depth understanding of the broadcasting industry, combined with the knowledge of how fast paced technology can progress, Dave focused on developing innovative software solutions that would make a difference in how broadcast companies communicate and manage on a day-to-day basis.

Utilizing open, web based technologies, Dave created the original Specialty Data Systems Inc. product, SDS Proposal.  The creation of SDS Proposal represented the first sales proposal system written for television networks.  From this ground breaking moment, Dave knew he was on the correct path to truly make an impact on the broadcasting industry.  

Since then, Dave and Specialty Data Systems Inc. have continued to invent new broadcasting applications.  With its flagship package SDS Symphony, the complete management software that allows you to effectively operate and manage everything from a single station, Specialty Data Systems Inc. has proven itself to be the leader in the development of Broadcast Management software.
